Objects PUT to Cold Storage are immediately protected and staged in Active Storage free space for instant acknowledgement and consistency. Then, ActiveScale coordinates across all Cold Storage Class PUTs and RESTOREs to optimize tape streaming performance and data layouts for maximum performance and durability.
